Colt Government 1911 America Remembers Saluting America's Soldiers Commemorative Gold 149 of 500

This commerative Colt 1911 is in excellent, used condition and appears to be very well taken care of. The slide is adorned with gold and gold engravings throughout honoring America's armed forces. This America Remembers 1911 has numerous names and phrases engraved including "Armed Forces Commemative Society" on top of the slide. The right side of the slide has "American Freedom Tribute", "Freedom Forever", "Saluting America's Soldiers Defending Freedom", and "Freedom Is Never Free". The left side of the slide has "Saluting America's Armed Forces", "Saluting America's Soldiers Defending Freedom", and "Lest We Forget". Underneath the slide near the front it reads "149 of 500" indicating that this 149th of a series of 500 guns. The engravings on the slide also depict a Beach landing, a paratrooper holding a 1911, the European theater of WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. The hammer, safety, grip screws, grip medallions, slide release, slide stop and pin are covered in gold as well. Included with the gun is one 7rd 45 ACP magazine, protective soft pouch, cleaning cloth, lock, and Colt hard case. This is a highly detailed 1911 manufactured by Colt in Hartford, Connecticut which would make an excellent addition to your collection.
