The Ruger Hawkeye Hunter is a right-handed bolt-action rifle chambered in 308 Win with a 16.60 inch free-floated cold hammer-forged barrel. It features a satin blued finish and an American walnut stock. This model includes a threaded muzzle with a 5/8-24 pattern and factory-installed thread protector.

A non-rotating Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor with fixed blade-type ejector provides positive case extraction. The hinged solid-steel floorplate has an engraved Ruger logo and flush patented latch for unloading.
